Pixel School Privacy Policy
Written to be easy to read: we keep as little data as the AI teacher needs to teach your child, and you can see, download or delete it yourself at any time.
1. Who looks after the data, and how to contact us
Personal data controller
MAKERHUB CO., LTD. · Company registration number 0135569024882
Address
400/41 Moo 8, Khu Khot Subdistrict, Lam Luk Ka District, Pathum Thani 12130, Thailand
E-mail for personal data matters
[email protected] — this inbox can only receive e-mail; it cannot send replies. We will contact you from another of our team's e-mail addresses (please check your spam folder too) · If you want to be sure that we receive your message and can contact you, use the form below
Ways that need no waiting
Sign in to the parent page to see, download or delete your child's data, or withdraw consent, yourself, straight away (section 8) · Families invited during the trial can also reply in the LINE chat where they received their invitation link
Send us a request about personal data
No need to sign in · Our team is told straight away and will contact you at the e-mail address you enter within 30 days · Please do not type sensitive information about your child in the message box · The e-mail address and message sent through this form are kept only to deal with this request, and are deleted after 365 days
2. What we keep
Parents
E-mail · the name you would like us to call you · when you confirmed your e-mail and gave consent (and the version of the text you consented to) · sign-ins (stored as hashed codes) · e-mail links that have not yet expired (stored as hashed codes) · the language you chose for the parent page (Thai/English)
The child's profile
Nickname (not their real name) · grade · chosen character · your choice of whether the teacher reads aloud · class link (stored as a hashed code) · use from devices (times only — we do not keep the device model or the IP address) · the language your child learns in (Thai/English — used to choose the class, the lesson and the language the AI teacher replies in)
Learning
Times booked for classes, and cancellations · class attendance · answers and questions your child types in class · the AI teacher's replies · questions the AI teacher could not answer from its manual, passed on to the supervising teacher to answer (without your child's name or anything that identifies them), and the answers · progress (which stages were passed, review dates)
Earlier trial version history
Answers and teacher messages from the trial version before parent accounts existed (linked only to children who used that version — deleted together with the child's data, like the other tables)
Lesson credits
Activated credit packs (subject, pack, number of lessons, expiry date · the sponsor's name, if the credits were sponsored) · credit usage history (added / used, why, which lesson, which class) · founding-student number and locked-in price · number of classes attended for each lesson · classes missed because the AI teacher was full (no credit used) · the scholarship-seat waiting list and the scholarship seats offered · the queue for a full class time (which time, place in the queue, whether a seat came)
Credit activation codes
Codes are stored as hashes · the pack a code opens · expiry date · who issued the code (an administrator / the MakerHub shop, with the order reference number) — this table holds no data about children; the credit packs that come from a code are part of the data of the child it was entered for · We do not keep payment details (no slips, cards or bank accounts — payment is made separately at the MakerHub shop)
Safety alerts
If your child writes to the teacher about something that may be unsafe: that message (with personal details hidden) · type of concern · time · room · when you were told — see section 4
Requests sent to us
If you send a request using the form in section 1: e-mail · the name you would like us to call you (if given) · what the request is about · the message you typed · when it was sent — no IP address is kept · used only to answer that request
Voice
We do not record or keep children's voices, and the game does not ask to use the microphone · The teacher's voice is synthetic (not a real person's voice) and recorded in advance from the lessons · Text that the AI teacher writes itself (such as a summary at the end of a stage) may be turned into speech live on our own computer; it is not sent outside, and no audio files are kept
Not kept
Real name, surname, age, date of birth, school, address, phone number, photos, voice, location, passwords, payment details — we use e-mail links instead of passwords · If a child types information like this in class, the system hides it before saving and does not send it to the AI teacher
3. What we use it for
So the AI teacher can teach your child, answer questions and remember how far your child has understood, to carry on from there next time
To arrange class times so they never exceed what the AI teacher can handle
To count lesson credits under the rules shown on the parent page: 1 free trial class per subject (children registered before 1 Nov 2026: 2 free trial lessons, passing 1 lesson uses 1 credit) · booking and not coming, or cancelling later than 120 minutes before the start, uses 1 credit · credits last 120 days after activation · monthly pack: coming into a class uses 1 class (booking and not coming, or cancelling late, uses 1 class) and it lasts 30 days from the child's first class · to keep the queue for a full time · to show the founding-student badge · to offer scholarship seats to children on the waiting list
To tell you when your child types something that may be unsafe (section 4), and to show a "help your child" card when your child has spent several classes on the same lesson and has still not passed it
To improve the lessons, by looking at the overall picture (for example, which stages children often get stuck on)
We do not sell data, do not use advertising, do not track you across websites, and do not use children's data to train AI models.
4. When your child types something that may be unsafe
If your child types in "Ask the teacher" about things such as a stranger contacting them, being asked for photos, being asked to meet up, being hurt or threatened, being touched, being told to keep something from their parents, or thinking of hurting themselves:
The teacher always replies straight away with the same message: go and tell a parent or a grown-up you trust, don't send photos or personal information, don't meet anyone you don't know (the AI does not continue the conversation on this topic)
You see this on the parent page (the type of concern, the time and what your child typed) and receive an e-mail — the e-mail says only the type of concern and the time; your child's words are shown only on the parent page
The school's administrator is told only the type of concern, the time, the room and a reference code, and does not receive your child's message or nickname · They open the details on the school's computer only when help is needed
At most 1 alert per child every 10 minutes (anything further during that time is included in the next alert) · These records are deleted together with your child's other data
5. Legal basis
The consent of the parent (the person exercising parental authority) under the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) — every child account must be created by a parent who has confirmed their e-mail and given consent; children cannot sign up by themselves · Credits are counted under the terms of the service you choose to buy · Safety alerts (section 4) are made to prevent danger to a child's life, body or health
6. Where it is kept, and who sees it
What makes us different: the AI teacher runs on our own computer in Thailand — what your child types, their answers and their learning history are not sent to any outside AI service or to any company abroad, and are not used to train AI models
The data is on a server of a service provider in Thailand · The AI teacher runs on the same machine and does not send children's messages to outside AI services · The teacher's voice is also made on the same machine
You see all of your child's data on the "My child's data" page · The system team can access it only as far as needed to fix problems
Other children in the game (in the town and in class) see only the nickname, character, grade, founding-student badge (if any) and "stage passed" — they do not see wrong answers, credits or messages with the teacher · Children can chat with each other only with emoji and ready-made phrases
Outside service providers, when the service is open on the internet (they see only what is needed to pass the data on, and do not use it for anything else):
Cloudflare — carries the encrypted web connection (HTTPS) between your device and our computer, so the data you and your child send through the website (including what your child types) passes through the network of Cloudflare, a foreign service provider, on its way to us · We do not use Cloudflare to store data — all data is saved only on our computer in Thailand
Resend — sends confirmation / sign-in e-mails and safety alert e-mails (it sees your e-mail address, your child's nickname and the content of the e-mail, which does not include anything your child typed) · Resend's servers are abroad
The MakerHub shop — takes payment for packs and then issues activation codes (the shop does not receive your child's learning data)
7. How long we keep it
For as long as your child keeps using the service · After 90 days without use, the system automatically deletes that child's data from every table (including any remaining credits, the credit history and safety alerts) · Parent accounts that have no children and have not been used for 90 days are deleted too
Credits expire 120 days after activation (monthly pack: 30 days from the first class) (the expiry date is shown on the parent page) · Codes that are never entered expire after 90 days
Requests sent through the form in section 1 are kept for 365 days and then deleted (kept as a record that we answered the request)
E-mail confirmation links work for 30 minutes · A child's class link works for 30 days (you can switch it off or make a new one at any time) · A parent's sign-in lasts 30 days
8. Your rights
See and download your child's data yourself on the "My child's data" page (including the credit history and safety alerts)
Delete one child's data (every table, straight away — any remaining credits are lost too) or delete the whole account
Withdraw consent at any time — your child immediately can no longer attend classes, until you consent again
Ask us to correct data, object, or make a complaint to us, and complain to the Office of the Personal Data Protection Committee (PDPC)
9. Security
Encrypted connection (HTTPS) · links, access codes and credit activation codes are stored as hashes · limits on how many times anyone can sign up, sign in, ask the teacher, book and enter codes · protection against sign-up bots
The system's logs contain no children's names or messages · The AI teacher is instructed never to ask for personal information, and the system checks every teacher message before it reaches a child
10. Cookies and data on your device
We use only 1 essential cookie, for parent sign-in, and keep the class access code, the sound setting and the chosen language on the child's device so they don't need setting up every time · No advertising or analytics cookies
11. The teacher is an AI
The teacher in class is an AI program, not a person, and may sometimes explain things wrongly; answers are marked right or wrong by a separate program · We recommend that a grown-up stays nearby while young children learn
12. Changes
If we change anything important in this policy, we will ask parents to read it and consent again before their child's next class.
